HIGHER EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS HAS GOOD RELATION IN THIS MODERN ERA. HEALTH CARE SYSTEM INCLUDES GOOD DOCTORS ,NURSES,PARAMEDICAL PERSONS AND MANY MORE. BUT IT IS CHICKEN AND EGG PROBLEM. WHO IS FIRST.
1.WITHOUT GOOD HEALTH CARE SYSTEM NO SOCIETY CAN SURVIVE IN THIS ERA
2.BUT GOOD HEALTH CARE SYSTEM HAS SOME IMPORTANT ELEMENTS THESE ARE DOCTORS,NURSES, PARAMEDICAL PERSONS,AND MANY MORE.
3.THESE ELEMENTS NEED APROPRIATE EDUCATION.
4. AND THIS EDUCATION, THOUGH EXISTS IN THE COUNTRY, NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED ON A VERY GIANT SCALE TO GET THESE ELEMENTS TRAINED APPROPRIATELY AND AT REASONABLE COST.
5.TIFAC REPORT BY Dr KALAM'S COMMITTEE HAS ENVISIONED MANY SUCH ISSUES.
6. HOWEVER PROPER POLITICAL WILL CAN HELP ACHIEVE THIS VISION.
7.PRESENT GOVT HAS MANY GOOD PEOPLE WHO CAN PLAN FOR THESE ISSUES AND HELP ACHIEVE ENVISIONED STATUS TO INDIA.
8. HOWEVER WILL THEY BE ABLE TO DO?
9. LET COMMON MAN HOPE FOR BETTER FUTURE AND SHOULD SHOW READYNESS TO SHARE THE RESPONSIBILTY TO ATTAIN THE ENVISIONED TARGET.

My Views on Health care
An article in TOI few days ago, by a professor at New Jersey institute, on Indian economy has triggered this thinking.
Health care plan, for any state in India or India as a whole or in country Like USA (any country under the Umbrela of United Nations ) can always have following elements
1. Doctors of all disciplines, Like,Alopathy,Ayurvedic pathy,Homoeopathy,Unani,Nature Cure
2. Medical health care support staff in hospitals and dispensaries
3. Medical and pharmaceutical factories
4. MR of these factories
5. Shoppers selling medicines officially
6. Medical practitioners reaching, even remote, villages once in a week, at least
7. Transporters to transport these doctor and nurses to villages at low cost or say reasonable cost
8. Necessary support by Govt in these areas
9. Primary health centers with ample and appropriate and timelyu supply of medicines
10. Mobile phone facility in each and every remotest place in the country
11. Best quality equipment for pathology and cardio vascular systems available at primary chealth centres.
12. All easily available to doctors and nurses, any where, any time, with govt support
13. A team of workers giving appropriate information to ill people and doctors hence good honest communication system.
14. Industrial engineers, with health care background and knowledge of Bio statistics, for planning and execution.
15. Civil engineers and construction groups to build good hospitals,good health centres and good internal roads and residential quarters for necessary health related personnel.
16. Small hospitals, connected with  a greed of elctronic communication, to be able to reach medical experts in big hospitals, for opinions.
17. Communication systems such as wireless, for remote places,optical fiber for fast and efficient communication of medical reports and images to experts, seating in various big hospitals,across the country.
18. Financial resources
19. Easy accessibility to medical help, any where in the country
20. The workers of municipalities and community kibbutz and grampanchyats to maintain utter cleanliness in village, towns and cities,to avoid spread of airborne, water borne diseases.
This would be a big job, but revival of present systems would reduce cost of new investments and total involvement of Govt and social organisations,no bar to religious organisations doing only devoted work beyond limit of religeous attitude, would help achieve better results and develop really good and healthy society. All types of Trusts working for religeous work could also involve themselves for the cause of Humanity and prove that Human service is a real and only service to GOD.

What is swine flu?

•Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by Type A influenza viruses that causes regular outbreaks in pigs.
•Swine flu viruses have been reported to spread from person-to-person, but in the past, this transmission was limited and not sustained beyond three people.

Is the current swine flu virus contagious?

•Various international agencies (US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, World Health Organization) have determined that this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is contagious and is spreading from human to human.
•WHO has escalated the world Pandemic Phase from Phase 3 to Phase

What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in people?


•The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.
•Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people.
•Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.
How does swine flu spread?
•Spread of this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is thought to be happening in the same way that seasonal flu spreads.
•Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza.
•Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with live flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

•To diagnose swine influenza A infection, a respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding virus).
•However, some persons, especially children, may shed virus for 10 days or longer.
•Identification as a swine f influenza A virus requires sending the specimen to a hospital laboratory for testing.
HOUSE
•Throw away tissues and other disposable items used by the sick person in the trash. Wash your hands after touching used tissues and similar waste.
•Keep surfaces (esp bedside tables, surfaces in the bathroom, children’s toys, phone handles, doorknobs) clean by wiping them down with a household disinfectant according to directions on the product label.
•Linens, eating utensils, and dishes belonging to those who are sick do not need to be cleaned separately, but importantly these items should not be shared without washing thoroughly first.
•Wash linens (such as bed sheets and towels) by using household laundry soap and tumble dry on a hot setting. Avoid “hugging” laundry prior to washing it to prevent contaminating yourself. Clean your hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub right after handling dirty laundry.
•Eating utensils should be washed either in a dishwasher or by hand with water and soap.
